During a college semester of COVID boredom, I came up with the idea for Hometown, a travel website where you could get recommendation from college students about their favorite spots in their hometown.
I designed the site and worked with a friend of mine studying computer science to bring it to life. We convinced a handful of our friends to compile photographs and write pieces on their own hometowns, and opened up for submissions too.
Sadly, we ran out of the free hosting credits we got from our school, so you can't view it live on the web today—but the idea lives on in our hearts!
